Chef mcDab's Principles for Sandwich-Making

The Three Disciplines of Making a Sandwich!

Before you start making a sandwich, you have to learn the disciplines of making a sandwich. There are three total, and each of them will help in your journey to make the perfect sandwich. The first discipline is "You are not talented." Think about it: you are, right now, legitimately reading a guide on how to make a sandwich. By looking for a guide on pro sandwich-making, you have subtly proven to yourself that you lack the talent to cook a good dish. The second discipline is: "You lack the materials." Let's face it, you don't have the ingredients or tools necessary to make a perfect sandwich. The best you're going to get is a loaf of bread, some consumer-grade condiments, and preserved meat; inadequate for a perfect sandwich. The last discipline is:"You will never be able to make a good sandwich." This discipline is only meant to motivate. Go further beyond the limits of sandwich making. When you think you've made the perfect sandwich, you haven't! get out two new slices of bread and get to innovating!

You can't make this

Chef mcDab's Sandwich-Making Process

The Official How-To for The Perfect Sandwich!

Now that we've covered the principles of making a sandwich, we can get to the actual making of it. This part is surprisingly tricky; if you've ever made a sandwich before, prepare to be shocked, because a master's process is extremely different to that of a beginner. The first step to making a sandwich is getting dressed. Now, this may sound silly, but it'll be important for later. All you have to do is get dressed as if you're going outside today, shoes and everything. The second step is to locate and make your way to the closest sandwich joint. You may be concerned, and I understand that. But, if you've been following the 3 disciplines of sandwich making, all of this would make sense. Because you have no talent, no materials, and can't make the perfect sandwich, you might as well just order from someone who has the skills, tools, and practice to do it for you! The third step is to, obviously, inspect the restaurant. Is it clean? Does the food look good? Do you feel comfortable in the store? If a store doesn't meet your aesthetic standards. Go somewhere else! There's no point in giving your money to places you don't like. Once you've found the perfect store, we can get on to the fourth step: ordering the sandwich. Sandwich ordering requires a lot of nuance; you have to know the sandwich numbers, the available toppings, the seasonings, the styles, the types of bread, and the sizes. Make sure your order is as clear and concise as possible. Once your order is completed, make sure to pay for it and then take it with you; rinse and repeat until you find your perfect sandwich. Buy it lol
